In memory of Christopher Sprague Shank

Christopher Sprague Shank, 78, was a distinguished CPCU and Senior Commercial Insurance Executive whose life was defined by dedication to his profession and deep devotion to his family. A Wake will be held at 6:00 PM, followed by the Rosary at 7:00 PM, on Friday, February 13th, 2026. The Funeral Mass will take place at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 14th, 2026. Both services will be held at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.

Chris was preceded in death by his father, Gerald E. Shank; his mother, Vera Darling Larson; his step-father, Olaus W. Larson; and his step-daughter, Maria A. Anderson. He is lovingly survived by his wife, Anna R. Anderson; his son, George W. Anderson; and his grandson, Heston Moore. He is also survived by his brother, Michael H. Shank; his niece, Michelle; and his sisters-in-law—Georgia Clements, Lucy Collins, Margaret Ansari, and Mary Esparza who thought of  him as the brother they never had. The family extends a special word of gratitude to their niece, Jessica Esparza, for her compassionate care over the past year. In honor of Chris’s life, a memorial has been established with Heartspring of Wichita, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Wichita and Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
